Situated in the heart of Belfast at Blackstaff Mill — a beautifully repurposed 1830s linen mill — the BSR studio has hosted fashion campaigns, TV productions, commercial shoots and editorial work for clients including ZeroFit, BBC, Black Cap Films, Waddell Media, BoyZone, Barnardos, Polydor, JD Sports, and Mulberry.
The space is 65 feet long, flooded with natural daylight from the original mill windows, and comes with a semi-gloss white floor. The exposed brick and beamed ceiling give it a character that's hard to find anywhere else in Belfast.
All our Profoto packs, heads, modifiers, stands and grip are available to add to any studio booking. No need to source lighting separately — everything is under the same roof.

The studio is 1,300 sq ft with a 65 ft running length. It's a large, open-plan space with a semi-gloss white floor, high beamed ceiling, and exposed brick walls. It comfortably accommodates large commercial productions, multi-camera setups, and full crew.
Yes — the studio has seven 4×6 ft south west facing windows that flood the space with natural daylight. The Blackstaff Mill building dates to the 1830s and the original mill windows are one of the studio's most distinctive features, giving you the option to shoot entirely on natural light or combine it with the Profoto inventory.
Lighting is available to add to any studio booking from our full Profoto inventory — Pro-8a 2400 Air packs, D4 2400 Air packs, B4 battery packs, ProHeads, modifiers, stands, and grip. It's priced separately so you only pay for what you actually need. There's no requirement to use a second supplier.
Studio rates are £110/day for student and portfolio work, £220/day for still commercial (overtime at £30/hr), and £330/day for video and motion production (overtime at £75/hr). All rates are exclusive of VAT. Lighting, DIT packages and crew are available to add separately.
Yes. We offer three DIT package levels — Lightweight, Middleweight, and Industry Standard — all with Capture One certified technicians. The Industry Standard package includes a MacBook Pro M2 Max (Mac Studio M4 optional), Eizo 27" CG2700X colour-critical monitor, Adicam cart, CalDigit TS4 dock, and 1TB Mercury Elite RAID backup. Yes, there is on-site parking at Blackstaff Mill. The studio is on the 3rd floor at 81–129 Springfield Road, Belfast BT12 7AE. Easy access for production vehicles and gear delivery.
